I'm Edgar. I'm a Mechanic

I've spent 15 years under the hood. I started Space Alien Performance because I was tired of seeing my neighbors in The Villages get the runaround from big dealerships and commissioned service writers. When you bring your car to me, you aren't talking to a salesman — you're talking to the mechanic doing the work.

It concerns me when I see people overpaying for "recommended" services they don't actually need. I'll explain what's going on with your car in plain English — no jargon, no condescension, no upselling. I treat your vehicle the same way I'd treat my own family's car. If I have to come back to a job, it's on me. Always.

I answer the phone myself — not an answering service, not a receptionist. If I'm under a hood, I'll call you back within the hour. Tell me what's going on and I'll give you my honest first impression even before I see the car.

You Bring It In. I Diagnose Free.

Drive in or we'll arrange a tow. The diagnostic is free — no $150 "inspection fee" like the dealerships charge. I'll look at the car, scan the codes, and tell you what's actually going on.

I Walk You Out and Show You.

If your car needs work, I'll bring you into the bay and physically show you what's wrong. You'll see it with your own eyes. No "trust me, it needs to be replaced" — actual proof. That's how I'd want a mechanic to treat my own mother.

You Get a Written Quote — Before Any Work.

Every dollar of parts and labor laid out before I touch anything. If the repair changes scope mid-job, I stop and call you first. You will never get a surprise bill from this shop. Period.

I Fix It Right. If Not, I Make It Right.

Every repair is warrantied for 12 months or 24,000 miles on all parts and labor — double the industry standard on mileage. If something isn't right after a job, bring it back. No second invoice, no excuses. That's how I keep my reputation in this community.
